It's completely random that my first review outside of New York is a place called New York City Sub Shop. The sandwiches were all named after different parts of New York - i.e Fifth Avenue, Wall Street, Central Park. I ordered the Midtown with the listed ingredients of chicken, marinara and cheese. The first thing I noticed was the bread which had a warm, fluffy texture. Upon biting it had the taste and feel of the bread at Subway which I am not a big fan of. The chicken was shredded and looked like it was cooked in the sauce which had a dark red/brownish color. The sauce had a well-done flavor. The cheese was the best part - nice and melted and tasty with a smooth texture. If you're looking for a classic chicken parm this is definitely not the spot but if you're into a Subway type sandwich then it's worth giving a try. They get a #middlethumb rating.
