My Florida trip continued down south to V&S Deli in Boca Raton. V&S came recommended by my friend Paul Kosinski who moved down to Boca a few years ago. He never tried the chicken parm but said this is the best Italian deli in the area. The line was extended onto the sidewalk - but, as we've learned in the past, a long line doesn't mean a delicious parm. Unfortunately, that was the case here too. The chicken was very firm, not tender, and wasn't crispy. At first look it appeared as if there wasn't much cheese but that it might be buried under the cutlet - unfortunately this wasn't the case either and there wasn't much cheese anywhere. The best parts of the sandwich were the bread which was very fresh with sesame seeds and the sauce which tasted fresh but it could've used more of it. Overall, V&S gets a #middlethumb. I also tried the meatball sub which was better than the chicken parm and worth checking out.
